We managed content in English, German, and French for each page

The Maine Winter Sports Center hosted the Biathlon World Cup in northern Maine in 2011. Since there would be a large influx of American and European visitors, they wanted to set up a multilingual website to provide information and promote tourism.

We designed the site so that it was easy to find important information while still encouraging further exploration. Since there was a lot of content that needed to be managed by multiple people and in multiple languages, we built the site on WordPress, which allowed us to customize the content editor and use plugins and taxonomies to make sure that the site had the features we needed and was easy to update.

My Role

I created the information architecture, built the website, and trained users on how to manage content in WordPress. I created the WordPress theme from scratch in PHP, HTML, CSS, and jQuery to make sure that all of the content was easily editable.
